You Can’t Miss Alexa Demie in Her Iridescent Chanel Suit

Alexa Demie knows exactly how to make a familiar fashion language feel unexpected. At Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2027 ready-to-wear show in Paris, the Euphoria star arrived in a vivid pink skirt suit that transformed one of the house’s most recognizable signatures into something glossy, futuristic, and unmistakably her own.

The outfit featured Chanel’s familiar quilted diamond motif, but instead of appearing in the traditional textured tweed associated with the French maison, the material had a sleek lacquered finish. Under the camera flashes, the hot-pink ensemble appeared almost illuminated, giving the classic silhouette a distinctly modern edge.

Demie intensified the look with deep burgundy accents. The darker shade appeared along the piping of her jacket and continued down to the pointed details of her pearly pumps. The combination of electric pink and rich burgundy gave the otherwise polished Chanel look a more mysterious, slightly vampy character.

It was an especially memorable appearance for an actor who is known for keeping a relatively low profile away from the spotlight. Yet inside the Chanel front row, Demie was impossible to overlook. Her styling managed to respect the brand’s heritage while embracing the offbeat attitude that has become central to her own fashion identity.

The Paris appearance also marked Demie’s first Chanel show of the Spring 2027 season and only her second Chanel runway presentation overall. She first attended one of the house’s shows during couture week in July, when she appeared in a dramatically plunging black dress finished with an embellished brooch positioned at the hip.

That first appearance already hinted at the chemistry between Demie and Chanel. Her latest outfit makes the connection even clearer.

Demie has gradually developed a reputation for choosing fashion that feels familiar at first glance but contains an unusual detail that changes the entire mood. That sensibility makes her a natural fit for Chanel’s current direction under creative director Matthieu Blazy.

Since taking the creative helm, Blazy has explored ways of reimagining established Chanel codes through unexpected materials, illusion-like details, trompe l’oeil effects, and distorted interpretations of familiar silhouettes. Demie’s glossy quilted ensemble seemed almost designed for that conversation.

The reflective surface was particularly effective because it transformed something traditionally associated with heritage craftsmanship into something almost futuristic. The recognizable Chanel diamond pattern remained, but its execution changed the personality of the garment completely.

There was also something distinctly Demie about the way the outfit balanced glamour with darkness. The saturated pink brought immediate attention, while the burgundy accents prevented the look from becoming overly sweet. The result felt polished, provocative, and slightly strange in exactly the right way.

For Demie, becoming a Chanel regular appears increasingly natural. Her quiet confidence and instinct for fashion with an unconventional edge align comfortably with the house’s evolving approach.

And if her latest Paris Fashion Week appearance is any indication, Alexa Demie may be becoming one of the most intriguing new faces of Chanel.
