For Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, Paris Fashion Week has become as much a family affair as it is a celebration of fashion. The couple has a way of turning each other’s creative worlds into shared moments, and Rihanna’s latest appearance at Rocky’s AWGE runway show was another perfect example. Sitting front row in Paris, the singer and Fenty Beauty founder delivered a look that brought together polished workwear, biker-inspired leather, and unexpected jewelry details.
Rihanna attended the Spring 2027 presentation from AWGE, Rocky’s clothing brand and creative collective, wearing an outfit that deliberately crossed several style categories. At its center was a cropped, relaxed leather jacket from AWGE, giving the look an unmistakably tough, motorcycle-inspired attitude. Beneath it, however, Rihanna introduced a much more polished element with a button-up shirt featuring rhinestone detailing along the lapel.
The contrast continued below the waist. Instead of pairing the jacket with jeans or traditional trousers, Rihanna opted for skinny-fit stirrup leggings that brought a sleek, almost equestrian quality to the silhouette. The fitted shape was balanced by stacked diamond anklets, an extravagant detail that transformed an otherwise practical piece into something unmistakably Rihanna.
The combination was unconventional but surprisingly cohesive. The leather jacket brought attitude, the button-up introduced a corporate edge, and the leggings created a streamlined foundation. Together, the pieces reflected the same tension between utility and sophistication that could be seen throughout Rocky’s latest AWGE collection.
This was the fourth runway presentation from AWGE, and Rocky staged the show at Paris’s Accor Arena before taking the stage himself for his Don’t Be Dumb tour. The collection drew heavily from military clothing, utilitarian garments, and boardroom-inspired dressing, creating a visual language that connected fashion with the harder, more disciplined aesthetic surrounding his current tour.
AWGE, pronounced “awg,” is more than a conventional fashion label. The project operates as a creative collective as well as a ready-to-wear brand, with collections developed in collaboration with Rocky’s longtime stylist Matthew Henson. Even the meaning behind the acronym has remained somewhat fluid. For this season, Rocky described AWGE as standing for “Anti-War Global Economics,” an idea reflected in the collection’s emphasis on hardened utility pieces and military-inspired construction.
Rihanna’s outfit seemed to understand that language without simply copying it. Her leather jacket and leggings echoed the collection’s tougher elements, while the rhinestone shirt and diamond anklets added the glamour and femininity that have long been central to her fashion identity. Rather than dressing exactly like the runway models, she created her own interpretation of the world Rocky was building.
The setting also made the appearance feel particularly personal. During the show and subsequent concert, Rihanna was seen with the couple’s children, Riot and RZA, turning a major Paris Fashion Week event into something closer to a family outing. Their youngest child, Rocki, presumably stayed home for the occasion, but the appearance still offered a glimpse of the family balancing an unusually busy period of public appearances and creative commitments.
Rihanna’s presence at AWGE came after several other memorable fashion week appearances. Since arriving in Paris, she had already delivered a series of dramatic looks, including a gilded skirt suit at Matières Fécales and a black, sharply slit dress for Dior. Her wardrobe throughout the week demonstrated just how wide her fashion vocabulary has become, moving comfortably between experimental labels, major luxury houses, and pieces that blur the boundaries between eveningwear and everyday dressing.
